How Our #NewLookers Are Styling Up Denim For Spring

by Camilla Harrison, Guest Writer

When it comes to style, if there’s one thing that unites us all, it’s a great pair of jeans 👖.

They’re the original wear-anywhere wonder, and let’s face it, we’d be lost without them. So when a new season comes along, we can’t wait to switch up how we style the blue stuff and get the lowdown on the latest trending ways to wear our favourite moms, wide-legs and skinnies.

Now the sun seems to officially have its hat on, we’re packing away our chunky knits and looking to our very own #NewLookers to find out how they’re styling up their denim staples for spring. Spoiler alert: it’s all about colour-pop tops, oversized logo tees and throw-on-and-go blazers 🤫.

1. Tutti-Fruitti Brights

Nothing says spring like a pop of colour, and our mantra is the brighter the better 🌈. Classic blue jeans are the ultimate blank canvas and go with every hue of the rainbow, whether that’s trending green like @newlook_lauren.o or bold tomato red à la @newlook_temi. Extra style points for the coordinating shoes and bag too, Temi ✅.

2. Look The Business

Ah the blazer, once reserved for ‘80s power suits and now a wardrobe staple. An oversized, boxy style is the easiest to throw on and looks effortlessly polished. @newlook_lauren.c keeps it classic in black, while @newlook_mabel hits the sweet spot with a candyfloss-pink number, perfectly paired with light-wash flares in true throwback style 💗.

3. '90s Vibes

Cropped cardigans are trending and giving us major Clueless vibes (which is always a good thing). Wear yours with distressed high-rise denim like @newlook_laura.d who looks seriously cute in her black rib-knit and vintage zigzag styles ✌️.

4. Logomania

Say it loud and proud with a logo T-shirt that matches your vibe. We love how @newlook_lauren.o and @newlook_agata have styled their baggy tees, tucking them in at the waist to show off their shape. The uplifting ‘Lost in a vibe’ motif on @newlook_lauren.c’s is giving us all of the retro feels – it’s not hard to see why it’s a favourite of Emily Atack’s, too!

5. Prints Charming

Elevate your everyday denim with tops patterned with fun, ‘70s-inspired prints like @newlook_emilie who’s look is giving us serious checks appeal. Take a leaf out of @newlook_georgia and @newlook_jasmine’s book and opt for trending retro florals that look like they could easily have been lifted from your nan’s curtains 🌸.
