New Season Looks Inspired by Emily in Paris

Set in the iconic fashion capital and styled by Patricia Field — the genius behind Carrie Bradshaw’s outfits — Netflix’s Emily in Paris was destined to deliver when it came to looks.

Our main character Emily particularly didn’t disappoint, boasting a wardrobe equally as bold as her personality. From colourful headwear to clashing patterns and statement co-ords, if Emily’s dreamy love interests and high-brow marketing job weren’t enough to be jealous of, her ‘fits and confident approach to dressing are 🤩.

Now the hugely successful comedy-drama is back for series deux, with a whole host of new fashion and Gabriel content for fans to eagerly lap up. But forget being envious of Emily’s style this time round as we’ve put together three outfits the social media star would definitely want for herself – expect all the key b’s: bouclé, brights and bucket hats

1. Check it Out

As a self-confessed Gossip Girl fan, it comes as no surprise influences of the Upper East Side have slipped their way into Emily’s wardrobe, with smart blazer sets worthy of a certain Waldorf being one of them.

Given a Parisian spin now Emily’s crossed the Atlantic, hers are finished in checked bouclé fabrics reminiscent of a very prestigious French fashion house. Lean into Emily’s eccentricity and style yours with an exaggerated collar blouse and chain-trim stomper boots. Make the queen of accessorising proud and top off the look with a faux pearl embellished bag and gold hoop earrings with a (literal) twist. ✨

2. It's All in The Detail

Throughout the series, even Emily’s jeans-and-a-nice-top looks come with an allure – namely in the form of ruffle trims, standout accessories and printed blazers, providing endless inspo for our everyday wardrobes.

When next out and about, make Emily your muse and elevate your staple denim with styles big on details. This floral embroidered cardigan — similar to what you’d find in the best French vintage markets — is a great place to start. Then amp things up with a signature Emily bucket hat and smart bouclé bags. Now all that’s missing are some attention-grabbing shoes, such as our platform heeled boots, perfect for parading along the Seine or *ahem* your local park. 🌼

3. Dress to Impress

We’ll never forget the iconic moment Emily stepped out in an elegant black ballgown inspired by the legendary Audrey Hepburn on a date to the ballet. Sure, the date might’ve gone sideways, but she taught us an opportunity to dress to the nines is one never to be missed. 👗

Channel her love for going all out on your next date night or dinner with the girls and make an entrance in a statement frock such as this shimmering satin number – we’re sure Emily would love the bright pink colourway. And while the character might be known for saying ‘a little bonjour goes a long way’, on this occasion think ‘a little sparkle goes a long way’ and take the look to another level with a diamanté headband, matching earrings and a shiny clutch. Not forgetting shoes, this black strappy pair are just down Emily’s street – or should we say rue? 🇫🇷.
