The LOVE-it-LIST.

The accessories you *need* this season

Want to update your look this season without breaking the bank? Here are the accessories you need to hit the trends without hitting your purse this season.

Textured bags

Textured bags are big news this season, with faux fur, sheepskin and knitted pieces coming out on top. Pair them with a casual outfit to nail that Y2K style we know is all over your feed. For an on-trend, laid-back look, wear with wide-leg jeans or flared trousers, a hoodie or sweatshirt and your favourite jacket. To make your bag the centrepiece of your outfit, choose one with a pop of colour, or stick to a neutral for a go-to accessory that goes with everything.

Cowboy boots

Cowboy boots are still going to be trending for spring/summer 2024, so if you don’t already have a pair, now’s the time to pick them up. Skip the head-to-toe denim and checked shirts and go for a tucked-in T-shirt, fitted jeans and a trench or lighter coat that works for spring. They look amazing with a slip skirt or dress, too. While the boots will be the centrepiece of your outfit, they don’t need to be the full focal point, so don’t be scared to make a statement with your ‘fit.

Wide belts

‘00s-style statement belts are here to stay this year. They’re one of the easiest ways to turn a simple outfit into a ‘fit with a little extra something. Go for leather, raffia and neutral colours - you can’t go wrong with a classic black, tan or dark brown.

Colour-pop bags

Add some colour to your outfit with a bright bag - we love lime green and neons this season, but baby blue, yellow and maroons are all a look for 2024. Even better if it’s a crossbody bag that’s as practical as it is stylish. Just like textured bags, you can build your outfit up around the colour pop (don’t go too matchy-matchy) or make it stand out completely with a pared-back ‘fit.

Silver jewellery

Silver jewellery’s still trending into this year, so if you haven’t already changed up from gold, the easiest way is by swapping your hoops for a silver pair and styling as normal. Match it up with some silver bracelets, necklaces or rings - or mix up your metals for a new take. Our top tip for 2024 jewellery? Go chunky.

Pointed flats

Flat shoes were everywhere in 2023, and they’re moving into the new season, too. Pointed flats are going to be huge this year, so if you’ve been looking for an alternative style to ballet pumps you know what to do. Style with straight-leg jeans, wide-leg trousers or your fave skirt (any length goes) to step into one of the biggest looks of the year.
