What to pack for your next city break

City break outfit

Whether you’re heading to Manchester or Madrid, here’s what to take with you to make the most of your luggage (and your plans).

City break jeans and a nice top

1. UK city break

If you’re heading on a city break in the UK, planning ahead is key for maximising that all-important suitcase space.

You can’t go wrong with some comfy trainers, a leather jacket or blazer, jeans and a jumper. And we’re guessing you’ll probably want something to wear on a night out too, right? If you’re not sure of the city’s vibe, pack a few options just in case. Styles you can mix and match are a great shout. Think jeans and a nice top, co-ords or a dress you can dress up or down to suit the mood of the bar you’re heading to.

2. Heading overseas

Heading overseas? Lucky you!

Depending where you’re going, you might need swimwear, a couple of going-out outfits, some comfy day looks to explore in and a coat or jacket. Trainers and flats are a must for wandering, while light layers you can layer up or down are a lifesaver, whether you’re heading to a beach destination or somewhere more chilly.

Packing light? Comfy shoes, a trench coat and some wide-leg trousers are our top three absolute essentials. If you’re sharing your trip on Insta (of course you are) they’ll keep you looking effortlessly polished (and photo-ready).

3. Staycation

There’s nothing we love more than a staycation - you might be surprised at what’s going on in your area once you start looking. And if all else fails, get your girls round and bring the fun to you.

For the ultimate girls’ night in, brief your crew to bring snacks, drinks and their best PJs.

Alternatively, make an event of it with a theme and get your girls to go all out. Think black-tie, a colour theme or fancy dress. Anything goes!
