5 mins with Georgina Lennon to talk her COAT *is* the OUTFIT edit

We caught up with Georgina to find out her *favourite* piece from the edit, tips on finding the perfect coat and what her absolute must-have for cosy season is…

If you had to wear one coat from your edit FOREVER, which would it be?​
“Oh, that’s not fair! But if I *had* to pick just one, it would be the black vinyl coat – mainly because it makes me feel so fancy and expensive when I put it on, especially paired with an all-black look.”​

‌​What made you pick the coats that feature in your edit?​
“I had strict criteria going into this – each coat had to tick three boxes: look great, feel amazing and be super versatile. Your autumn/winter coat is likely to be the most expensive piece you purchase this season, so it really needs to work hard and cover a lot of bases.”

What are your top tips for finding the perfect coat?​
“Think about where you’ll wear it most – if you go into the office five days a week, something like the longline formal coat will work best, but if you WFH and do the school run, the black padded bomber would be a great match for leggings and trainers. Try and buy a colour that works well with your current wardrobe too – luckily, all the coats in the edit are neutrals so they go with anything.”​

​You’ve got a meeting at 12pm and a lunch date at 2pm, which coat are you choosing?​
“It’s got to be the salt and pepper wrap coat – it’s so chic! I paired it with double denim for the shoot, but it’ll look amazing with a black rollneck and matching trousers, too.”

Other than coats, what else is on your new-season wishlist?​
“A pair of tailored cargos as they’re the perfect piece to dress up and down and *all* of the rollnecks – I live in them come autumn and defy anyone not to look put together in a black fitted style!”​

What’s your favourite thing about autumn fashion?​
“Being able to layer up – you have so many more options in autumn than you do in summer. I also love autumnal tones like deep khaki, brown, black and grey.”

What’s your favourite thing about autumn in general?​
“Obviously the fashion, but I also love feeling cosy, the darker evenings (controversial I know) and that all the good TV is on – plus the autumnal snacks!”​
