The perfect base
Getting the first layer right is key to bringing your spring look together. Go for a simple, fitted cami top, t-shirt or body for a smooth silhouette that’ll work with whatever you pair it with.
For a comfy off-duty look, opt for leggings or denim on the bottom – staple pieces you can come back to season after season.
Mix it up
Whether it’s textures, fabrics or silhouettes, mixing and matching the vibe of your pieces can give your look that extra *something*.
This might be wearing an oversized jumper with a fitted bodysuit bodysuit underneath or a roll-neck top under a satin dress. It’s one of the best ways to keep your layering looking intentional (and stylish). Spring is the perfect time to try out different lengths as well as silhouettes: cropped trousers, midi skirts and cropped tees layered over a longer top can easily change up your look.
Coordinate your colours
You don’t need to go all matchy-matchy (even though a co-ord can be perfect for easy layering), but wearing shades in the same colour family can help your outfit feel more put-together. Neutrals and muted tones work well for a cool head-to-tonal look, but if clashing colours are more your thing, make it intentional and go all-out. Blue and green or pink and red are colour combos we love.
Shop nowIt’s all in the outerwear
Getting your jacket or coat right is most important during spring’s unpredictable weather.
Shackets, denim jackets and longline blazers are all great layering pieces that work throughout the transitional seasons – and you can dress them up or down easily, too.
Our fave look atm? A long-sleeved mini dress, boots and a trench coat or waterfall coat.
